Bishop’s Move Solent, part of the UK’s largest family-owned removals company, Bishop’s Move, has played a key role in a Christmas fundraising event held by one of its clients, VIVID Homes.

Mark Perry, Chief Executive at VIVID Homes said, “It was extremely generous of Bishop’s Move to provide us with vans and a very helpful team of staff. I’d like to thank the whole team for helping us fulfil our ambition of filling more than 780 boxes and have them delivered to our offices in Portsmouth and Basingstoke from where we distributed them to 11 different charities across Hampshire. The Bishop’s Move team were a real credit to their company.”

Each gift box was filled with a selection of goodies, from biscuits and mince pies, to popcorn, cheese straws and hot chocolate and signed by staff during VIVID’s ‘Creating Bright Futures’ staff training event. Recipients included homeless military veterans, crisis centre residents and isolated elderly people.

The three-phase task for Bishop’s Move involved collecting the boxed food items from ASDA, Farnborough, and delivering them to VIVID’s warehouse. Following this, Bishop’s Move collected the gift boxes before delivering them safely to storage units in Portsmouth and Basingstoke.

Alistair Bingle, Bishop’s Move’s Managing Director said, “This isn’t the first time we have helped good causes and it certainly won’t be the last. Helping others, including our clients, fulfil their charitable objectives, is high up on our agenda as we have the tools and products to help where others may not. We were delighted to assist VIVID Homes in this wonderful Christmas initiative.”
