The Mover has been advised by Global International Relocation in Lisbon that owing to industrial action, the port will cease operations from Saturday, November 14 until Tuesday, November 24 2015.

The strike will not affect the Ports of Leixoes and Sines, but delays should be expected in these ports given the circumstances.

Global is advising its clients and partners with shipments arriving during the strike to please be patient and says it is working with the Lisbon Customs Authorities to reorganise the clearance process. 

Global is also recommending those with containers that have not yet departed to try and negotiate ‘Demurrages’ at origin whenever possible.
