Movinga founders resign

According to reports in the German press, the founders of online moving company Movinga - Bastian Knutzen and Chris Maslowski - have resigned, sparking speculation about the fledgling company‘s future.

In our March issue The Mover reported on the extraordinary case of Movinga, a German-based start-up which obtained US$25 million in funding from venture capitalists and claimed to be Europe’s fastest growing removals company.  Movinga launched in the UK in September last year and according to Bastian Knutzen - in an interview with The Mover’s Editor Steve Jordan - was carrying out 1,000 moves a month.

There are unconfirmed reports that the company has ceased its operations in the UK and will concentrate on its core markets of Germany and France.

The Mover contacted Movinga’s press office for clarification of the situation but has so far not received a reply.
