E-Movers recruits female packing team

E-Movers in the UAE has recruited a team of female packers to work from its Dubai office.

E-Movers’ female packing teamE-Movers Managing Director Chirantan Joshi explained, “The idea came to mind because some of our clients in UAE are very conservative so we thought we could make them more comfortable if we had females working with the crews to pack their personal items. The girls began working in January 2018 and since then we have seen the demand increase, not only from certain cultures, but from most of our clients. They seem to like this idea of female packers.”

The team of 12 girls - all from Nepal - were given three months on-the-job training before being allowed to pack on their own.  Two females work with a team of four men during packing and moving.

E-Movers, which began trading in 2003 and employs around 400 people, now plans to expand its female packer service to its Abu Dhabi and Sharjah offices.
