Van Girls’ 26-mile hike for Macmillan Cancer Support

May 12 | 2017

On Saturday, 17 June 2017, the Van Girls will be taking part in a 26-mile charity hike through the Lake District in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

After a hard week’s work the girls will be heading north to take part in the Lake District Mighty Hike, to raise money and show their support for their friend and co-worker, Serene, who is suffering from cancer.

Van Girls’ Director Emma Lanman said, “Here at Van Girls we are a tight knit group. We work hard and play hard together! Our wonderful, brave and always positive colleague and friend Serene has beaten breast cancer once, which is what sent her in to the removals industry, wanting to stay strong. We're so grateful she did as she has made the last few years at Van Girls so much fun. She has moved many happy customers and been a great work buddy to all of us.This year the cancer returned in her spine and after several days of crying on jobs and being crushed by the news, we have all resolved that Serene will not face this alone!

If you would like to show your support for the girls, please visit the Van Girls Just Giving page to make a donation.
