Global moving and relocation specialist, Go-Group, has commissioned and delivered over 30 tons of personal protective equipment (PPE) to England’s frontline NHS and care workers since the beginning of April 2020.
Using their offices in China and Hong Kong, Go-Group commissioned the production of an initial 10 tons of masks and protective clothing. Very soon this was increased to 30 tons and the number is still rising. Just two weeks after the initial order was placed, the PPE was successfully delivered to hospitals in Devon and Exeter as well as to several care homes and corporate offices around the UK in preparation for the return to work.
Fred Delahaye, CEO of Go-Group said, “We just couldn’t stand by and do nothing. Transportation is key to the supply and we just knew if we used our contacts in Hong Kong, we would be able to help those desperately in need of PPE. Not only are we able to deliver the PPE quickly, we have also been able to do it at half the cost of other suppliers. I am so proud of the team working around the clock to make this happen.”
