New DSP certification from FIDI

The FIDI Global Alliance has announced that it will roll out its DSP (Destination Service Provider) certification programme early in 2024. Jesse van Sas, FIDI General Manager, said that this is “a significant expansion of our long-established commitment to quality and excellence, well beyond our renowned FAIM Certification programme”.

Jesse van SasIn 2019, FIDI introduced its FAIM DSP module, allowing FAIM certified companies to have their Destination Service Provider (DSP) activities audited. The new certification is designed for pure DSP companies (i.e., companies providing relocation services but not household goods moving) operating on an international scale.

FIDI says the programme addresses expanding member activities, the demand for quality assurance and the need to stay ahead in a changing industry. As with FAIM, the new certification will require regular independent audits and proof of financial stability. To become and remain a FIDI member, certified companies will have to prove consistent compliance with the programme – or risk losing their membership.

DSP companies certified under this programme will become FIDI members, enjoying benefits such as participation in the annual FIDI conference and access to FIDI Academy training opportunities.

“This will help FIDI broaden our focus beyond ‘pure’ moving topics, and drive a better understanding between the moving and the DSP sectors,” said Jesse. “This initiative is a clear reflection of our vision to adapt, grow, and lead in the global mobility industry. We look forward to the roll out of this programme and the new opportunities it will bring.”
