Asian Tigers honoured Peter Schaefers on his retirement at the Cadillac Ranch in National Harbor, Maryland on Sunday, 7 October 2018.

At the event Gordon Bell, Chairman of Asian Tigers Group, described a little of Peter’s long history in the moving industry, starting as an apprentice with Endicott in New York in 1957.  In 1975 he bought the company and in 1988 sold it to Movers International which became TheMIGroup.  Peter retired from TheMIGroup in 2008 and, since 2009 has been the US representative for Asian Tigers Mobility Group. 

Commenting on Peter’s job with Asian Tigers Gordon said: “It was easy because of who you are, a person who has been in the industry for a very long time, knows the agents, knows what they want and was able to ask the right questions and pass that information on.  It takes a special kind of person to do that job and that person was you.”
