HRH The Princess Royal will be the Guest of Honour at this year’s United Kingdom Warehouse Association (UKWA) Annual Lunch and Awards to be held at London’s Dorchester Hotel on 27 June, where over 450 logistics professionals are expected to attend.
The event is part of UKWA’s year of celebrations to mark the Association’s 75th anniversary.
UKWA is the leading trade body dedicated to serving the needs of the UK’s logistics industry and has around 800 members who, between them, control nearly 100 million square feet of warehousing space from some 1,300 locations across the UK.
UKWA’s CEO, Peter Ward commented, “2019 is a momentous year for UKWA and we are absolutely delighted that HRH The Princess Royal will be joining us for our special 75th anniversary lunch. The UKWA Annual Lunch and Awards is one of the most prestigious occasions in the logistics industry’s calendar and this year promises to be a particularly memorable day.”
The Princess Royal is the founding Patron of Transaid – the organisation that works to transform lives by delivering safe and sustainable transport across sub-Saharan Africa - and UKWA has pledged to raise £75,000 for the charity during 2019.
