Bishop’s Move’s Operations Director, David Guiel, took part in British Airways’ Run Gatwick charity event on 12 May, 2019 in support of Bishop’s Move Crawley’s local charity, Crawley Open House.
Crawley Open House helps homeless and disadvantaged men, women, couples and young people (plus their pets) by providing direct access, high support hostels, and a day centre open every day of the year. It provides help, support, understanding and empathy and is totally non-judgemental; they help anybody in need.
David chose to raise much needed funds for the charity so they can continue to help the homeless and the vulnerable, completing the half-marathon in 1hr, 53 minutes and 32 seconds. David is no stranger to running having completed 15 marathons including the London, New York, Barcelona, Malta, Paris and Cyprus events, raising thousands of pounds for Guys and St Thomas’ Hospital in London.
David said, “It’s great to get involved in something I really enjoy and raise money for worthy causes at the same time – a win-win situation!”
Chris Marshall, Sales and Marketing Director added, “Completing 13 marathons is an impressive achievement and a great testament to David’s determination and commitment.”
