Pickfords moves two University College London Hospitals

Pickfords Business Solutions has relocated The Eastman Dental Hospital and the Royal Nose, Throat and Ear Hospital to a new state-of-the-art centre in Central London.

The new centre, part of University College London Hospitals (UCLH), will be one of the largest specialist centres for the treatment of conditions relating to the head and neck, including dental, ear, nose and throat (ENT), and hearing speech and balance.

Moving closer to other UCLH sites will mean that the centre will be part of the hub of University College Hospital sites and close to the UCL campus, facilitating more one-stop clinics, joint working, research and clinical trials.

Pickfords was selected following a formal bid procedure lead by Business Moving specialist Pat Hughes.

The moves involved relocating 200 administration staff to Euston Road and Tottenham Court Road, The Education Centre to Mortimer Market and the Clinical Areas to the New Huntley Street building.  Pickfords provided packing services to pack and relocate delicate medical equipment, furniture and the hospitals’ specialist stores.

The move was phased over three weeks with most of the work being undertaken on the Fridays and Saturdays to avoid disruption to services provided to their patients.

Head of Business Solutions Martin Budd from Pickfords said, “We are delighted to have been appointed and look forward to supporting UCLH’s vision to provide top quality patient care, excellent education and world class research at its new facility”.
