Charge4Europe, the joint venture of DKV and innogy eMobility Solutions, has joined forces with NewMotion, a leader in smart EV (Electric Vehicle) charging stations and a Shell Group company.
The agreement offers DKV customers access to 10,000 charging points in the United Kingdom, Netherlands and Germany with immediate affect.
Melanie Lane, CEO of NewMotion said, “We see roaming partnerships as a key part of enabling mass EV adoption. To convince people to move to a sustainable type of vehicle, we need to make the EV-driving and charging experience as seamless as possible. NewMotion, together with parent company Shell, work with over 200 roaming partners, which contributes to better access to charging infrastructure - an important consideration for drivers when switching to EV.”
Christopher Schäckermann, Director eMobility at DKV Mobility and Managing Director at Charge4Europe added, “DKV is proud to partner with NewMotion. With this partnership, we take a further important step to not only drive green mobility but to offer our customers an even more convenient and comprehensive supply network for their fleets”.
Over the past two years, Charge4Europe has become a leading player in the field of brand-independent en route supply for electric vehicles, offering access to public charging points. With this network extension, the charging network amounts to over 185,000 charging points in 32 countries.
