Around 20 guests from the removals industry joined local dignitaries on 28 April to celebrate the official opening of Alexanders Removals’ new headquarters close to London’s Heathrow Airport.
The champagne reception also marked the 20th anniversary of the West London company, which has enjoyed considerable success under the direction of Director and Co-Founder Alex Pope.
As jets roared overhead, Alex paid tribute to the many people who had helped him grow the business over the years and to the members of his current team which he described as a really wonderful group that he felt so lucky to be working with. He said that 20 years in, it seemed like the story was only just beginning.
The brand-new 20,000 sqft warehouse and office complex is capable of holding around 400 containers and is one of three facilities operated by the Group in the London area.
After congratulatory speeches by Ian Studd, Director General of BAR, local MP Ruth Cadbury and Andy Dakers, Chief Executive of West London Business, the ribbon was cut by family friend and artist Penny Linton (Auntie Penny) who declared the building officially open. Penny went on to unveil a piece of artwork she had created to mark the company’s 20 years of trading.
In April, Alexanders appointed Alan Carpenter as managing director. Alan has a wealth of experience in the removals industry and joins Alexanders after working for a major London-based company for 26 years.
