The AGS Group has unveiled the second stage of its furniture storage facility in Luigny, northern France, one hour from Paris.
The store - claimed to be the largest in France - is entirely dedicated to the storage of customers’ household effects, especially when moving abroad for extended periods.
Many expatriates working overseas leave part of their assets in furniture storage for several years and trust AGS to ensure their proper conservation and protection. AGS's clients are military personnel, international civil servants, diplomats, executives of international companies, as well as private individuals.
Sophie Lucas, AGS Group Chief Executive Officer for France said, "This second storage structure completes an overall investment of more than €6 million, which was financed by our long-standing partners, BPI and BNP. This second tranche with an area of 5,100m2 and a volume of 18,000m3 can accommodate more than 2,000 storage boxes. It completes the first phase and has a capacity of more than 33,000m3. AGS is therefore proud to present the largest French furniture storage offering its customers a capacity of more than 5,000 m3.”
The buildings meet the latest environmental protection standards and are ISO 14001 certified in terms of their management of the environment.
The company says this investment will meet the needs of AGS customers for the northern half of France for the next 10 years. A similar project is being developed in the southern half of the country to minimise journey times and reduce the operation’s carbon footprint.
