Road Haulage Association (RHA) colleagues were proud to take part in a logistics industry event promoting equity, diversity and inclusion in the workplace this week.
The Big Logistics Diversity Challenge brought together industry professionals from 40 firms to share best practice, network, team-build and help shape how to support a more inclusive sector.
The Association’s team – ‘RHA Roadies’ – joined in a number of fun activities in a friendly but competitive setting at the Newark Showground in Nottinghamshire.
They achieved an impressive top-ten finish at the annual event as temperatures soared to 25 degrees Celsius, with logistics giants XPO crowned winners.
Laura Taylor, RHA HR Director said, “We’re proud that we came eighth out of the 40 companies who took part, especially as this was our first time at the event. The team truly reflected our shared values of being collaborative and supportive throughout the day’s challenges. We all had the opportunity to demonstrate our individual skills – whether physical, mental or creative – even if it meant stepping out of our comfort zones.”
This year’s event supported transport charity Transaid, which was founded by Save the Children, the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) and its patron, HRH The Princess Royal in 1998.
