Bournes Relocation Solutions, headquartered in the UK, has been awarded the ‘Best Global Mobility Sustainability Initiative of the Year’ at the EMMA Awards (Expatriate Management & Mobility Awards, EMEA region), hosted by the Forum for Expatriate Management (FEM).

The award recognises outstanding achievements and commitment to sustainability in Bournes' role serving the global mobility industry.

The award was presented to Bonnie Thurlow (Corporate Sales Director), Cathy Goodman (Corporate Account Manager) and Alice Doucy (Customer Services Manager), who represented the company at the gala ceremony in London. Bournes also received a highly commended recognition for their entry in the ‘International Moving Company of the Year’ category, which showcases excellence in delivering high-quality employee relocation services to corporate clients.

Bournes winning entry for the sustainability award highlighted its accomplishments so far in reducing environmental impact, improving social responsibility, and enhancing governance practices which recently led to the organisation achieving the EcoVadis Silver Rating. It also demonstrated how the leadership team have integrated sustainability into its next five-year strategic plan, which aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The SDGs are a set of 17 global goals that aim to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure peace and prosperity for all by 2030.

Claire Tennant-Scull, Global Director of Content and Events at FEM explained that there was a very high standard of entries this year, commenting: “The judges and I have been so impressed to see the quality of work undertaken by individuals, teams and organisations with this year’s extraordinarily strong entries. It is a demonstration of how resourceful, creative and innovative the people who work in this industry can be, and I think everyone who entered the awards should feel very proud of what they have achieved.”
