From 1 April, 2024, the National Living Wage in the UK will increase by 9.8% to £11.44 an hour for eligible workers aged 21 and over.
Young people and apprentices on the National Minimum Wage will also see a boost to their wages, which will increase to £6.40 an hour.
This comes as part of a package of measures announced in the Autumn Statement presented by the Chancellor of the Exchequer. These include a cut to the main rate of employee National Insurance Contributions from 12% to 10%.
Full details of the changes can be found on the UK government’s website.
