The EMMA awards for the EMEA region from the Forum for Expatriate Management (FEM) were presented recently at a black-tie dinner at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London.
Comedian Sean Collins added a littler humour to the proceedings. The event includes 21 categories, all greatly prized. Congratulations to all the winners which include:
Pickfords Move Management: winner of the ‘International Moving Company of the Year’ award. International Director Steve Wilkins collected the award and said: “We are thrilled to have won. This award acknowledges the continuing hard work of Pickfords’ international move management teams and the new innovations achieved in the last year”
Bournes Relocation Solutions, also from the UK, was the winner of the award for the ‘Best Global Mobility Sustainability Initiative of the Year’. Bournes also received a highly commended recognition for their entry in the ‘International Moving Company of the Year’ category. The entry highlighted the company’s accomplishments so far in reducing environmental impact, improving social responsibility, and enhancing governance practices which recently led to the organisation achieving the EcoVadis Silver Rating.
Aires in the USA received the award for the ‘Most Innovative Use of Technology in Global Mobility – Assignee Management’. Anand Diraviyam, Aires’ Director, Product Strategy & Management, said: “Our teams continue to develop flexible technology solutions that complement our customer service. In an industry that is always changing, we listen to our clients and create the technology solutions they need to provide an excellent experience.” The award recognises Aires’ customisable relocation technology solutions that are tailored to meet each client’s needs and enhance their mobility programmes.
AltoVita, the corporate housing company, won in the category ‘Most Innovative Use of Technology in Global Mobility - Bespoke Solutions’. AltoVita won with its Curated Accommodation Platform that it says has revolutionised the corporate accommodation industry by expanding the company’s inventory to seven million units worldwide. The platform seamlessly combines extended stay accommodation and hotels through collaboration with travel technology partners.
AltoVita has also introduced the Group Bookings tool, streamlining the management of large-scale moves and eliminating manual processes. The latest feature from AltoVita is AltoInsights - a comprehensive reporting dashboard designed to enhance transparency across environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) metrics. The dashboard allows users to identify DEI spend and monitor their total expenditure across women-owned, veteran-owned, minority-owned, and small businesses.
Claire Tennant-Scull, Global Director of Content & Events at FEM commented: “The judges and I have been so impressed to see the quality of work undertaken by individuals, teams, and organisations with this year’s extraordinarily strong entries. It is a demonstration of how resourceful, creative, and innovative the people who work in this industry can be, and I think everyone who entered the awards should feel very proud of what they have achieved.”
