On 9 July, 2024, Simon Hood, owner of John Mason International in the UK, attended a Royal reception at Windsor Castle in celebration of his company being awarded the prestigious King’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade.
This award is the highest accolade for British businesses operating globally, symbolising trust, quality, and excellence. Holding the award allows John Mason International to fly The King’s Awards flag at the company’s office in Liverpool. The company also receives a Grant of Appointment and a commemorative crystal trophy. The award is valid for five years.
“Visiting Windsor Castle was an experience I'll never forget,” said Simon. “The stunning grounds were absolutely breathtaking, but what really made it special was getting to see parts of the castle that most people never get to see. Meeting King Charles III was the highlight of the day. Shaking his hand and talking about the history and future of John Mason International felt unreal. His personal congratulations were incredibly meaningful, not just for me but for everyone at JMI. I was proud to represent our company and the moving industry. We’re now looking forward to welcoming the Lord-Lieutenant later in the year to officially present us with the Grant of Appointment. This whole experience has given me a new burst of inspiration to keep pushing our company forward.”
