The moving and relocation industry is an exciting place to be because of its vital contribution to the business landscape, regardless of what’s going on in the world. A falling economy creates change. A growing economy creates change. There’s always a need to move forward. The real challenge for our industry, though, is uncertainty. Uncertainty coupled with fear of the unknown tends to put a hold on any decision-making in business, and that has a knock-on effect. We can thrive in the face of change but we need an element of certainty and courage in order to make a positive difference. The crisis isn’t over, of course, but it feels like we’re moving in the right direction.

I think the industry has responded really well to the challenges posed by COVID-19. Relocation companies have stood up to the challenge - they’ve kept their people working, they’ve kept the wheels turning and they’ve used their skills, materials and resources to meet the huge demand for logistics and transport.
