Dees Peters, Owner and CEO of Atlas International Movers in Amsterdam, has become the new president of FIDI Netherlands.
In this short interview, he explained his feelings on accepting his new role and his ambitions for the immediate future of the organisation.
Dees has been involved in the moving industry since he was just 14 years old working with his father, Cees Peters, who owned Royal De Gruijter & Co. He moved on from the company when his father sold the business, working with Voerman for five years and subsequently with Interdean.
However, Dees had always wanted to have his own company and took the opportunity to buy Atlas, a fully independent organisation that had been operating since the early 1990s, when it became available in 2011. The company had been a member of FIDI in the past however Dees brought it back into membership in 2018. Four years ago Atlas expanded by opening in Zurich, Switzerland.
Dees has only been on the FIDI Netherlands Board for a short while. He said that it is an honour to take on this new responsibility and that he looks forward to working with colleagues at FIDI Netherlands to further develop the organisation’s shared goals ...
