Invictus Relocation in Portugal has opened a new facility on the Portuguese island of Madeira to serve its increasing number of customers wishing to make their home there.

Madeira Island Funchal, PortugalIn an interview for The Mover, Fábio Manuel, CEO, explained that he had been considering opening in Madeira for some time. The said that there had always been a steady flow of traffic to the island, but it was very difficult to get the work done to the correct standard.  “It is an island mentality,” he said. “It’s very relaxed and it’s hard to get people to work to international standards and difficult to manage customers’ expectations.”

Fábio explained that his wife is from Madeira, he has a house there and is getting to know the people.  “It’s strange but since I met my wife we seem to get more business to the Island.  We are now probably sending one container a week.”  Then he realised that the demand had overtaken his ability to provide the service without having his own facilities and staff. “So I thought we should give it a try.”

Previously he was using a logistics company to handle the work, but the service was not what he expected ...
