The Alan F Wohlstetter Scholarship Fund (AFWSF) was launched in 2002 to provide scholarships of $5,000 each to assist qualifying students from different countries, cultures, companies, and backgrounds, to make a career in the moving industry. Since its formation the fund has awarded more than 80 scholarships.

At the Chicago IAM conference, Maria Andrea Rodriguez, President of the Alan F Wohlstetter Scholarship Fund Board thanked all this year’s donors and introduced Scott and Andrea, Alan Wohlstetter’s grandchildren, who were carrying on their grandfather’s work, to receive cheques from the major donors.

Major donations were received from: Ann & Lee Tsangeos - $5,000; Dewitt Move Worldwide - $5,000; National Van Lines - $5,000; Gridiron Forwarding - $5,000; IAM Young Professionals - $6,375; and the Hyatt regency Hotel - $10,000
