Aakanksha Bhargava, CEO for PM Relocations in India, explains how her company committed to spreading joy, one smile at a time.
Celebrated annually on the first Friday in October, World Smile Day is dedicated to spreading ‘good cheer and good works’. It's a day dedicated to the simple yet profound idea of performing acts of kindness to make the world a brighter place. This is the day when we are reminded of the power of a smile and the positive impact it can have on our lives and the lives of others.
The essence of World Smile Day lies in the belief that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a world of difference. It all begins with a heartwarming smile and an open heart, keeping an eye out for those who could use a little extra sunshine in their day. A friendly gesture or a kind word can turn a bad day around and set the tone for all that follows.
At PMR, we took this wonderful occasion to heart. This World Smile Day, our dedicated volunteers set out to brighten the lives of those unsung heroes who tirelessly keep our city safe and running. From the hardworking traffic policemen and vigilant security guards to the relentless construction labourers, these are the individuals who make a difference in our lives every day. To show our appreciation, we distributed a mid-day snack and a cup of tea to bring a smile to their faces and let them know that their efforts do not go unnoticed.
A smile is a universal language, and it has the power to create a more cheerful and compassionate world. Making the world a better place to live begins with each one of us. PMR strongly believes in giving back to society and in the enduring impact of spreading good cheer and kindness. Let's keep spreading those smiles and watch how it transforms the world around us.
Every time you smile at someone, it is an action of love, a gift to that person, a beautiful thing.
