The Freight Transport Association (FTA) has announced the appointment of Becky Martin as senior transport advisor within its Member Advice Centre (MAC) to assist the team in supporting logistics businesses through the COVID-19 outbreak.
FTA’s MAC is a unique membership benefit, providing expert advice and answers to member questions on legal, technical and operational matters, on topics such as Brexit, COVID-19, drivers' hours, through to vehicle maintenance standards.
Robert Saunders, Manager of the MAC said, “The FTA MAC has established itself as the authority on all aspects of logistics. With so many conditions changing in the market on a daily basis at the moment, it is unsurprising that we are experiencing record numbers of calls to support members during the COVID-19 outbreak. With Becky’s in-depth understanding of transport and logistics her arrival in the team couldn’t have come at a better time.”
Commenting on her new role Becky said, “I am so excited to be joining FTA; the MAC team are well-known in the industry for their unrivalled knowledge of the legal, technical and operational matters pertaining to logistics and I’m delighted to be joining such a knowledgeable group of advisers. Working together, we will be able to help our members through the challenges of COVID-19, along with many other issues.”
