Netherlands-based moving company De Haan has recently added a new Volvo biodiesel truck to its 30-strong fleet as part of its ongoing policy of reducing pollution and ensuring sustainability.

New Volvo diesel truck for De HaanDe Haan has been reducing CO2 across its fleet since 2016 and already has four DAF trucks capable of running on biodiesel.  De Haan claims the new Volvo will produce 89% less CO2 than a conventional diesel engine.

Other green credentials include a steering rear-axel that can be raised to reduce road and tyre wear, while improved aerodynamics will further reduce fuel consumption. The cab is equipped with four passenger seats making it unnecessary to use an extra vehicle (post lockdown) to transport the crew.
