It’s about this time every year that The Mover reports on the Cart Marking ceremony held at Guildhall Yard in central London.

It’s an event full of tradition that returns us to a city in which vehicles of all kinds were branded every year to show that they were licensed to operate.  It was the equivalent of today’s Road Fund Licence.

Of course, this year there has been no such ceremony however, the organisers have put together a video to give a flavour of the event, to take a look behind the scenes to see some of the vehicles and horses being prepared for the show, and to take a glimpse into the future with the latest driverless electric vehicles.
