Scania Great Britain Ltd has announced that James Armstrong has taken over from Martin Hay as managing director following his retirement.
James said, "In taking up my new role I would firstly like to pay tribute to Martin Hay, from whom I inherit a strong and robust organisation in excellent health, and wish him a long, happy and healthy retirement. Going forward, my priorities will be to build on the solid foundation Scania has in the UK by further developing the range and scope of services we provide and continuing to enhance the skills and working lives of our team members.”
James continued, "From a personal perspective it is great to be returning to the UK, where my career with the Scania organisation started, and reconnecting with many customers and colleagues. Having worked in a number of overseas territories for Scania in recent years, I am very much looking forward to the challenges and opportunities which lie ahead as we continue to drive the shift towards more sustainable transport solutions."
