CAM heads to cowboy country

​The Canadian Association of Movers (CAM) is heading off to cowboy country for its 2022 conference.

CAM heads to cowboy countryThe event will take place at the Sandman Signature Hotel Downtown Edmonton, Edmonton, Alberta on 13-15 November, 2022.

Topics for discussion at the business sessions will include: trends, challenges and upcoming legislation; a session on selling, buying or diversifying with Alberta’s top economist, Jason Ding from Deloite; dealing with customer complaints in a post-COVID world; combating the surge in moving fraud, with Toronto lawyer Rocco Scocco, who has had precedent-setting success in court; and will continue the discussion on labour which, Nancy Irvine, who runs CAM with her colleague Marian McGuire, calls “our Achille’s Heel”.

The special guest in November will be Steve Weitekamp, President of the California Moving & Storage Association. “I’m proud of our conferences because we work hard to get good quality speakers and have topics of interest,” said Nancy.  “Nobody skips the sessions.”
