The MOBILITAS Group – AGS – will soon begin construction of a 1,650m2 warehouse in Sarajevo, Bosnia.
The French family-owned SME that specialises in removals, records management, relocation and heritage preservation aims to strengthen its footprint across Central Europe and consolidate its Bosnian activities under its flagship AGS brand. The construction project is the Group’s first opportunity to own premises in Bosnia since it began operating in the country in 1997.
The new site will come complete with a centre dedicated to records storage and digitisation as well as a warehouse space for household goods removals. Cedric Castro, CEO of the MOBILITAS Group said, "We are excited to break ground on this new development. It is an investment that signals our intent to deepen our relationship with our Bosnian clients and a sign of our confidence in the future of Bosnia.”
The new premises will be situated in the capital city’s Ilidza district, only a five-minute drive from AGS Sarajevo’s current facilities. This allows the branch to maintain its proximity to clients while operating from a facility that is 50% larger.
The expansion is much needed following the Group’s acquisition of two Bosnian records management providers earlier in the year. Once construction is complete in 2023, all records will be stored together in the new records management centre, which will have a capacity of 41,000 boxes.
The companies will operate under AGS Records Management, the MOBILITAS Group’s flagship records management brand. As with the other construction projects by MOBILITAS, the new facilities will be equipped with a state-of-the-art security system, access control and fire suppression equipment in line with European standards.
