UniGroup, the parent company of United Van Lines and Mayflower Transit, has announced that the winner of its 2022 Lifetime Achievement Award is Gerald P Stadler of S&M Moving Systems.

UniGroup Chairman Charles W McDaniel and President and CEO Jason Mills presented the award at UniGroup’s member Convention held in Huntington Beach, California.  The award recognises individuals who have shown unparalleled dedication and extensive leadership within UniGroup and the moving and storage industry. 

Gerald was a leader at S&M Moving Systems while an active member in the UniGroup and Mayflower companies. Over the last 40 years, he has obtained several roles that have shaped the van line network. Gerald led at a time of significant growth. Two agent van lines, Mayflower Transit and United Van Lines, came together and UniGroup was created as the parent company. He served on the Board of Directors from 1978 until 2006. During his tenure, he was elected as the Secretary, Vice Chairman and eventually Chairman due to his leadership, tenacity and dedication to the agency family. He was also instrumental in working with the Board and management team during the acquisition of Mayflower Transit.
