TIP, the leasing and rental company for the transport industry, took to the roads in June with the aim to raise more than £70,000 for the Staffordshire-based Douglas Macmillan Hospice.
TIP’s charity fundraising cycling team, ‘The Fat Bottomed Boys & Girls’ took to the roads with a team of over 50 cyclists to attempt the ‘Game of Thrones Challenge,’ cycling more than 300 kilometres, from Split to Dubrovnik, along Croatia’s Dalmatian Coast.
In previous years the team has raised a total of £430,000 and it’s hoping that this latest challenge will take it over the half a million mark.
The ‘Dougie Mac’ is the only hospice in Staffordshire supporting children, young adults and adults, giving care to patients living with a life-limiting illness and supporting families and carers across two sites.
