Online marketplace for self storage, Explorage.com, won the Rising Star Award at The StartUp Awards 2023.

The ceremony was held on 22 June at the Depot in Cardiff, where the Explorage.com team celebrated alongside other innovative start-ups in the business community.

The company claims the global storage market to be worth an estimated £48 billion annually, with 27,000 new storage bookings each month in the UK alone. Explorage.com provides an online platform to help customers search for and find storage that suits their needs.

The Rising Star Award was bestowed by the StartUp Awards.  Anna Roberts, the company’s founder, said that it solidifies the company’s reputation within the self storage and business community, positioning it as a national leader in the industry. "Thank you to our team, our brilliant network of self storage businesses who continue to support us, and a huge thanks to our backers and community of businesses and fellow founders,” she said. “This Rising Star award marks an extraordinary milestone for Explorage.com, especially considering our journey began just eight months ago. It is a testament to the incredible potential and unwavering dedication of our team. We are determined to redefine the world of self storage and this award is just the beginning."

Just five days later Explorage.com also won an industry award for ‘Best Use of Social Media - Promoting Business and Industry’ at the Container Self Storage and Traders Association (CSTA) conference held in Manchester. The company also received the highly commended award in ‘Technology Innovation- Developments to Aid Business’.  Network Assistant Jaqui Jeffries was highly commended in the ‘Outstanding Staff Member’ category.
