Research from US online self storage finder Storage.com has identified the time of the year Americans are keenest to move, with March named the most popular month.
The study analysed Google searches around property and rental sites to reveal the best time to sell a home or start renting. Colorado is named as the state looking to move the most, whereas Alaskans are happiest staying put in their current homes.
US searches for for-sale and rental listings peaked in March last year at 13% above the monthly average. The next most popular month was July with August following close behind.
As well as analysing nationwide Google searches, the study looked at searches on a regional level to identify the most popular states. Colorado came top, with Florida in second place and Arizona in third. Mississippi, Hawaii and Alaska took the last places, presumably meaning their residents are most happy to stay where they are.
