Comparison site Compare My Move has reported an increase in removal enquiries of 70.8% between December 2023 and January 2024.

The report includes both domestic and international moving and shows similar increases for both. The company also reports a 110% increase in conveyancing enquiries, which, it says, shows the boost the property market has had in 2024.

The most popular countries for international moving over the reported period were Spain (17.7%), the USA (10.5%), Australia (9%), France (7.9%) and the UAE (4.7%). 

Dave Sayce, MD and Founder of Compare My Move said: “This increase in removal enquiries for 2024 sheds a positive light on the housing market and heralds a good year for the moving industry. With the large increase in conveyancing in January, we also expect there to be a further increase in removal enquiries throughout the first half of the year.”
