At the General Assembly of Keller Swiss Group Ltd on 14 August, 2024, Andreas Amiet-Keller retired from the Group’s Board of Directors after 30 years as chairman.
His sons Lorenz and Tobias Amiet will succeed him as representatives of the fifth generation of the founding family. The organisation also decided to fully integrate the activities of Keller Relocation Ltd into the parent company.
During his many years of service, Andreas Amiet-Keller built up the company from a local Basel removal firm into one with a nationwide footprint and later a global reach. His great services to the company were honoured at the Annual General Assembly. During his long and distinguished career in business, Andreas, who holds a doctorate in history, also led the Swiss Movers Association for many years, as well as the steering committee that oversaw FIDI’s acclaimed FAIM quality certification programme.
“Andreas contributed to the stability and continuity of the company with his reliable and calm style,” said Stephan Erbe, member of the Board of Directors. “His many years of experience were of great value to the Board of Directors, and we will miss him as chairman and member.” His sons, Lorenz and Tobias, have succeeded him as chairmen of the Boards of Directors, with Tobias chairing the Board of Directors of Keller Schweiz Holding Ltd and Lorenz presiding over the operating companies: Keller Swiss Group Ltd, Margarethen Bus Ltd and Auto Margarethen Ltd. All companies are wholly owned subsidiaries of Keller Schweiz Holding Ltd.
With this generational handover, Lorenz and Tobias Amiet assume full responsibility for the business activities of the family-owned company, which will celebrate its 170th anniversary next year.
Integration of Keller Relocation Ltd into Keller Swiss Group Ltd
The Annual General Assembly also decided to dissolve the legally independent Keller Relocation Ltd following the integration of Keller Relocation Ltd’s business activities into Keller Swiss Group Ltd. The company said that this change has no impact on business activities or cooperations with customers and suppliers and is merely a simplification of the corporate structure to reflect its integrated operating model.
