Move Assured, the removals trade organisation in the UK, has recently passed its 11-year milestone.

It’s not a neat round number, but it’s still a significant achievement for an organisation that started out as a dream when John and Lesley Sargant, and Philip Cundale set it up in 2013.

John said that when they started Move Assured they wanted an organisation with positivity and a family feel to provide help and advice to its members. They wanted it to be something that was dedicated to the industry and without any long-term contracts. “There was nothing available that fitted our criteria so in a sudden mad moment we thought that we know what we want so we resolved to create it ourselves. The idea was to create something that was affordable for everyone, not just a select few, yet promoted and encouraged professionalism.”

Move Assured has now become a full-time job for John and Lesley with Philip providing back-office support. It now has around 250 members and affiliates worldwide. “Our members enjoy friendship and teamship and work together towards the common goal of professionalism,” said John. “We have linked with Which? Trusted Traders, we have our own fuel cards, a members-only breakdown service, a members-only cubic calculator, and we offer numerous training events with our own very popular and skilled trainer Nick Saker, plus of course 24/7 help.”  Affiliate members offer a range of services to members including: uniforms, materials, insurance, body repairs, HR advice, software, lead generation, customs brokerage and shipping.

“We are constantly evolving and are always looking towards the next member benefit that we can offer. We are very proud of all of our members and proud to celebrate our eleven years of achievement.”
