The Movers and Storers Show is almost upon us again, now in its 14th year.
This year it will be on 19 and 20 November, at the NAEC in Stoneleigh, Warwickshire where it’s been for the last few years. The NAEC has proved itself to be an ideal venue for the show with plenty of parking, easy access (even with the chance of enjoying a bit of English countryside on the way there), excellent exhibition space and first-class facilities for food and drink to keep visitors supplied during their visit.
2024 will see new exhibitors promoting their services alongside long-time supporters. These include specialist vehicle body builders, materials suppliers, technology companies, insurance brokers, recruitment companies and a range of trade services for moving and self storage. The show organiser says that this year will have a record number of exhibitors.
There’s also the continuation of the Innovation Trail highlighting latest breakthroughs and innovative ideas to help movers run their businesses more efficiently and profitably. It gives visitors an opportunity to gain a competitive edge by seeing first-hand the cutting-edge developments.
The show has introduced new for 2024 the ability for visitors to plan their visit and arrange meetings with key exhibitors prior to the show, ensuring they get to connect. All you have to do is visit the individual exhibitor’s profile and fill in the meeting request. It’s as simple as that.
The popular Packer of the Year competition will be in full swing once again allowing road crews to pit themselves against each other in a quest to pack a storage box in the most efficient way, against the clock. The last few years it’s been won by the same company, Easy Shipping. So if you think your teams are good enough to beat the best, it’s your chance to give them the opportunity to prove it.
The seminar theatre will return as well, moderated by the editor of The Mover magazine, Steve Jordan. Last year it included a rich mix of topics such as the future of self storage, warehouse security, getting the best from Google, the state of the UK housing market, sustainability and much more. If you would like a recap you can follow this link and watch them all again. 2024 will again bring you 12 hours of free seminars to stimulate productive thought, so if you’d like to join in the fun, make sure you are there.
The Movers and Storers Show is free to attend as long as you register in advance. You can register by following this link. You will pay an entry fee of £10 if you register onsite.
