The Mover Magazine reported in July that John Mason International Movers in the UK had been awarded the King’s Award for Enterprise 2024. On 11 November, in Liverpool, the King’s representatives presented the award itself to the company.

The event took place on Liverpool’s waterfront at the historic Royal Liver building. It included a ceremony and reading of the ‘Grant of Appointment’ by the Deputy Lieutenant.  The King’s personal representative, Lord-Lieutenant Blundell, then bestowed the Crystal to Executive Director Simon Hood. 

The King’s Award for Enterprise is the highest accolade a UK business can receive, celebrating an organisation’s continual innovation and success across various sectors. Enacted by Royal Warrant in 1965, for over fifty years this award has recognised business’ contribution to the country.

In personal letters, both HRH the Princess Royal and HRH The Duke of Edinburgh extended their congratulations to Simon Hood and all team members at John Mason on receiving the prestigious award. 

Simon says: "Receiving the King’s Award for Enterprise is a testament to the dedication of our entire team, who put customer care at the heart of everything we do,” said Simon.  “This award isn't just for the company, but for every individual who has helped make John Mason International the trusted name it is today." 

Ian Studd, Director General of the British Association of Removers, who attended the celebration, said: "This award underscores John Mason’s ongoing innovation and dedication, which has ensured the company’s success not just in the UK, but on a global scale. It’s an honour to celebrate such an incredible achievement with a business that places family values and customer satisfaction at the forefront.” 

Simon added: “Our business has thrived for over 140 years by consistently adapting and innovating. We are immensely proud of our Merseyside roots and humbled by the recognition of our commitment to excellence in international trade. This award highlights the trust our customers place in us, and it reinforces our promise to continue delivering seamless, stress-free moves across the globe."
