Schmidt Global Relocation in the Netherlands has recently announced a new groupage service for goods entering Europe through the port of Rotterdam.

The company says that it can handle duty free entry to EU countries for normal, mixed, used HHE. The paperwork for this process is amazingly light, with a simplified customs clearance and a reduced number of documents required.

Paula Mayer from Schmidt Global explained: “We have launched our portal where agents can directly get their quotes for groupage imports that they send to Europe through Rotterdam with a 5% discount compared to the normal tariff. They are also able to book the container directly in the portal. They can upload all the information and documents so the container is automatically created in our system.”

The company has also announced a new groupage service from its partner’s warehouses in New York and Los Angeles.  USA agents who do not have sufficient cargo to fill containers, or provide groupage services themselves, can drop the shipments at Schmidt’s partner’s warehouse at these centres for groupage shipment.
