Crown Relocations is partnering with HSBC to provide global relocation and storage solutions tailored for international students. The new collaboration will simplify relocation for the booming international student population.
The partnership is designed to help students from seven key markets in Asia and the Middle East, including Mainland China, India, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Taiwan and the UAE, to move to leading international education destinations, such as the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia and Singapore. During their studies, students will also benefit from secure, end-to-end storage services during semester breaks, allowing them to focus on learning and exploration without the burden of moving logistics.
Sherry Liu, Group Vice President for Moving Services at Crown Worldwide Group, commented: “Relocating is inherently complex and becoming increasingly difficult, despite rising demand from students in Asian countries. Students must overcome logistical challenges with moving and storage, as well as assimilating into a new culture and unfamiliar education system.”
Research by Crown Relocations reveals that 60% of people who’ve moved overseas more than once believe cultural adaptation is harder now than before. Over 65% described cultural adjustment as extremely or very challenging. For students, cultural intricacies impact not only on daily life but also how they adapt to an education system influenced by local norms and expectations.
Commenting on the partnership, Guilherme Bueno, Global Head of International, Premier Banking at HSBC, said, “Surveys of our HSBC Premier customers consistently highlight education as a key priority and investment for families with children. At HSBC, we’re committed to helping families and students navigate the financial and cultural adjustment challenges as they pursue opportunities abroad. Our partnership with Crown offers essential, beyond banking support to provide customers with peace of mind throughout their journey.”
Beyond logistics, the cultural training developed by Crown focusses on crucial aspects of college life, such as understanding academic hierarchies, fostering independent study habits, participating actively in classes, building relationships, and navigating social and academic rhythms.
Sherry Liu added, “By simplifying every aspect of the student’s relocation process, we help them maximise their overseas education experience and ensure that both students and families see meaningful returns on their investment.”
