Rob Munn, who competed for Team USA as a rower in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, has joined Altair as the company’s business development director.
“A relocation assignment is more like the journey an athlete must go through when getting to an Olympic event, rather than performing in the individual event itself,” Rob explained. “Looking from the wide lens perspective, the Olympics is daunting and overwhelming. However, when I was able to dive in and focus on the tasks required each day, I could achieve greater goals with my teammates. This is transferable in getting the prospective customer to where they need to go and achieving goals at Altair.”
“I’m excited for all that Rob will accomplish here on our team at Altair,” said Jim Russo, Senior Vice President, Head of Global Business Development at Altair Global. “His energy is already evident with the departments he works with, and with him bringing a fresh perspective to the table, I have no doubt he’s the perfect strategic thinker we need on board to continue our business growth.”
Rob will be working from the company’s Walnut Creek office in California.
