United Relocations (Thailand) Co Ltd supporting its local communitiesFor the fifth consecutive year, the company has supported Giving Tree BKK by organising the transportation of hundreds of boxes filled with surprises, gifts, stationery, and toys from international school students in Bangkok to villages in Northern Thailand, bringing smiles to more than 1,100 Karen children.

The Karen people are one of the largest ethnic minority groups in Thailand living mainly in the mountainous regions of Northern Thailand, such as Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, and Chiang Rai. They live in close-knit communities, rich in culture and tradition.   They are known for their weaving skills, creating intricate costumes and shoulder bags using traditional looms. Their diet mainly consists of rice dishes, complemented by spices like chilli, garlic, and coriander, and they often grow fruits like papaya, bananas, and mangoes.

According to the organisers of Giving Tree BKK, this year was a record in terms of generosity and sharing.
