On 8 October, the UK government published its updated Border Operating Model which sets out how border controls will work and what companies need to do to move goods to and from the EU after the transition period ends on 31 December, 2020.

On 9 September, 2020 the Road Haulage Association published its own guide, End of Transition Border Checklist - based on what was known at that time - to help transport companies prepare for the UK’s new border arrangements.
