Union Tank Eckstein GmbH & Co KG is continuing its expansion strategy with the opening of a new branch in Bratislava, Slovakia.

A separate sales team will now be responsible for the nationwide distribution of the UTA fuel card system and providing customer support in Slovakia. 

Every year, some 200 million tonnes of goods are transported within Slovakia, of which three quarters are transported by road. According to Eurostat data, Slovakia ranks sixth in international traffic, ahead of Hungary, the Czech Republic and Bulgaria. 

Volker Huber, CEO of UTA said, “The new branch in Slovakia is entirely in line with our growth strategy, which aims to expand our presence in Central and Eastern Europe.”
