Paul Sainthouse named new president of CILT (UK)

The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in the UK (CILT(UK)) has appointed Paul Sainthouse as president of the Institute for 2019.

Paul Sainthouse CILTPaul, who is managing director of Dawsongroup Bus and Coach Ltd, took up the one-year presidency in January.

This year is a special and significant one for CILT as throughout 2019, the Institute will celebrate its centenary. As president, Paul, along with the Board of Directors, will work to support businesses and individuals working within the logistics and transport industry.  

Commenting on his appointment Paul said, “I am delighted to accept the presidency for the year ahead. Our sectors face numerous challenges, as well as opportunities, in this very rapidly evolving world and I hope that CILT(UK), in its centenary year, will continue to be recognised as an increasingly relevant organisation with an important part to play in upholding professionalism, delivering thought leadership and supporting its individual members’ personal development.”

Kevin Richardson, CILT(UK) Chief Executive, welcomed the new president by saying, “Paul’s parliamentary connections and active involvement in the profession make him the right man to represent the Institute during our centenary year and positively promote CILT(UK) and the critical role of our sectors during what will be a challenging year for us all.”
