Tippet Richardson congratulates Ron Waddling on 47 years of service

Canada’s Tippet Richardson (TR) has congratulated Ronald Waddling for his 47 years of hard work and dedication to the company.

ron-waddlingRon joined the TR group of companies in 1973, managing its Travel Agency, Farewell Travel Services Ltd.

In 1983, Ron assumed the role of director of international marketing and agent relations for Tippet Richardson Overseas Moving Inc. As a valued ambassador for Tippet Richardson on the worldwide scene, Ron has represented TR internationally at industry forums, visiting partner agents’ home offices and OMNI (Overseas Moving Network International), FIDI, IAM (International Association of Movers), BAR (British Association of Movers), LACMA (Latin American and Caribbean International Movers Association) & SAIMA (South African International Movers Association) conventions to name only a few.

Many of the key social functions, event planning and media activities Tippet Richardson sponsored were coordinated by Ron over the years. His early global experience gained in the travel industry assisted his expediting arrangements at many locations for significant TR experiences at Disney World Orlando, the CN Tower Toronto, and on chartered VIA trains and most recently the TR events at IAM in Long Beach and Chicago.

It was not uncommon for Ron and his wife Joan, who became friends with many industry colleagues, to entertain dinner parties of 30 or more international agents at their Brighton Ontario home. One Canadian Thanksgiving their house - even while under construction - entertained a large group of industry contemporaries from the Netherlands, UK, Ireland, Germany, Australia, Japan, New Zealand, Austria, and USA.

Understanding TR’s Canadian heritage, as well as promoting updated immigration information on Canada, Ron was an asset to many international firms who had an interest in joint endeavors. Consolidated groupage shipments to TR bonded warehouses, which had established distribution networks and operating licences throughout North America, was one message he would repeatedly deliver when travelling to agents globally. Likewise, his immigration, travel and country familiarisation knowledge was integral in the early development of Tippet Richardson Relocation Services in the mid 1980s.

Director Scott Naylor and all at Tippet Richardson congratulate Ron on achieving this milestone in his career and look forward to celebrating future successes together.
