On the 125th anniversary of its foundation, Gebr. Van den Eijnden in the Netherlands was awarded the right to use the Royal Coat of Arms by the Dutch King Willem-Alexander.
The company will now be able to claim “By appointment to the court of the Netherlands”. The certificate was presented to the company’s director Peter Lauret by deputy mayor Mieke Verhees, prior to its Christmas party on 22 December, 2023.
The title of 'Purveyor to the Royal Dutch Court' is awarded to companies that occupy a prominent position in their region and have also been in existence for 100 years or a multiple of 25 years. The directors of the company must be of impeccable conduct, as must be the company itself.
The application was submitted on 31 March, 2023 and, after a long assessment process, was granted by His Majesty King Willem-Alexander on 4 December.
