Clockwork Removals & Storage in the UK has recently announced it has strengthened its offering by appointing a new executive team. On 1 March, Andy Blyth was appointed as group finance director and Paul Handley as managing director.
Andy Blyth is a qualified Chartered Certified Accountant and has worked with Clockwork for ten years, with the last six years as Group Financial Controller. He qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2013 whilst working with Baker Tilly (now known as RSM) after several years of experience working in small and medium-sized accountancy practice. Shortly after becoming a qualified accountant, Andy joined Clockwork as group accountant.
"Clockwork is a very commercial business operating in a saturated market, and we strive to differentiate Clockwork from the competition by providing a first-class service time and time again,” said Andy. “The company has an ambitious strategic growth strategy which Paul and I will be focussed on delivering across the UK. I'm delighted to have been appointed to the executive team at this exciting time for the business."
Paul Handley has 27 years of experience in the removals and storage industry, working with some of the biggest names including Pickfords, Anglo Pacific, and Business Moves Group, and the last five years as Yorkshire branch manager with Clockwork.
Paul said: "I'm keen to build on the continued success of Clockwork, driving the growth strategy and taking the business to the next level, growing the domestic, commercial and international offerings. I believe my experience in the industry provides me with an invaluable knowledge and skills base to allow me to drive the business forward and put a smile on every customer's face."
The company's owner and Chairman, Courtenay Morison, said: "Both Paul and Andy have been with Clockwork for a number of years and have already brought in a number of new ideas and enthusiasm. Both are bright and capable and I look forward to working with them moving forward."
Clockwork was founded 28 years ago in Edinburgh and is still based in the city. It has branches in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Perth, Inverness, Orkney, Sheffield, North London, South London and Stroud.
