DeWitt Move Worldwide has announced the appointment of a strategic partnership with Charles ‘Chuck’ White, a renowned expert in the international household goods sector, as its new representative.
Chuck worked with the International Association of Movers (IAM) for over 19 years, most recently as the organisation’s president.
In a recent press release DeWitt said that during his distinguished tenure at IAM, Chuck White played a pivotal role in advancing the moving industry and significantly enhancing the organisation's global influence. The company said that his strategic insights and leadership have been instrumental in driving growth and innovation within the sector and that it takes immense pride in formalising this collaboration with Chuck.
"We are extremely excited to welcome Chuck White to DeWitt Move Worldwide," said John Burrows, President at DeWitt Move Worldwide. "Chuck's extensive expertise and industry leadership align perfectly with our commitment to providing exceptional service and support in the international household goods space. Together, we are poised to achieve new heights and deliver unparalleled value to our clients."
Chuck White has been involved in the moving industry since 1994 when he joined Executive Moving Systems in Woodbridge, Virginia, as director of sales and marketing. Prior to that, Chuck worked as a high school teacher and football coach in Maryland and Northern Virginia. His career in the moving industry saw a significant rise when he was elected to a volunteer position on the Executive Committee of the International Association of Movers (IAM), formerly known as the Household Goods Forwarders Association of America (HHGFAA). He served on that Committee for four years before joining the IAM staff in 2005 as their director of government & military relations.
Chuck held that position for ten years and in 2015, he was promoted to senior vice president. His outstanding leadership and dedication led to his appointment as president of IAM in January 2019, a role he held until his retirement in October 2023.
In retirement, Chuck continues to contribute to the industry, serving on the Board of Advisors for two technology companies. His recent partnership with DeWitt Move Worldwide marks a new chapter in his career, where he will assist in growing DeWitt's presence in the international moving market.
